Research into our distant ancestors has yielded many surprises.

The male ancestor of all Klombergen in the Netherlands, Gerhard , dates back to about 1600. Gerhard's oldest ancestor, Gerit Rutten , is from 1570.

Research into our female ancestor Johanna Driessen goes back a long time. (This data was found on the internet, on various sites about, among others, the Dutch Nobility, Charlemagne, etc.)

Johanna Maria Driessen , Gerhard's wife, comes from a very rich lineage (so do we).
This dates back to the beginning of our era: the oldest known ancestor is Clodius II of Sicambria lord of the Franks , born 56 BC, died 20.

One of the ancestral lines goes back to Charlemagne (02-04-748) while other lines points to the English royal family (between 400 and 800).
